The Dauphine

$130

The Dauphine mold, originally a figurine of porcelain is translated into a hand-poured, two-piece mold, an idea of mine long imagined. Her proportions, anatomy, and expression were uncannily perfect for molding; a rare piece that felt less found than destined.

She is endlessly versatile, but I present her first as she was always meant to be used: in chocolate form pressed gently into a cake, the skirt formed by billowing meringue, piled high pastry or a frock of frosting.

Cake Opera Co.s OPERACAST molds are percise replicas of unique items that have been lovingly collected over many years. They are not contemporary reproductions of mechanically made or 3D rendered prototypes.
Consistant with their authenticity, there may be subtle "imperfctions" as they are casted from actual antique articles.
