The Ormalu Ornament
Taken from a 19th-century ormolu bronze ornament, The Ormalu Ornament has all the theatrical grandeur of a piece of antique architectural decoration. A highly ornamented classical bust rises from a sweeping floral wreath, tapering into an elaborate fleur-de-lis finial. A wonderfully extravagant piece of antiquity, reimagined for cake.
At 11½ inches long, this is one of OperaCast’s largest and most sculptural molds, designed for dramatic tiered cakes, footed cakes, and anywhere a little more architectural eccentricity is required. Cast in our signature food-grade silicone for chocolate, fondant, gum paste, modeling chocolate, sugar and more.
